The “Vibrations” recipe is simple, effective and particular to Fireboy DML: a heady melody, an Afrobeats rhythm and romantic lyrics that the 23 year old lover masters. The visuals, on the other hand, are extremely joyful and original. Signed by TG Omori, a heavyweight in the Nigerian video industry, the visuals take us on a journey from a prestigious gala to a disused school, through a snowy landscape and a color fest. The young recruit from YBNL Nation, Olamide’s label, delivers another hit, at least as effective as the now classic “Jealous” that still resonates in West African parties.
